Now that you have reached sixty, are you making specific plans for retiring? Have you realized that you have worked towards retirement since the day you received your first pay check, and the boss had taken the social security out of it? You have worked hard all of your life for retirement, and now it is just around the corner.
As you begin to finalize your plans for retirement, keep in mind that you must find something to do to keep yourself active so you can live longer. The worst thing you can do is retire and just sit in front of the television and eat. Many people look forward to retirement for years, stop working and don’t know what to do with themselves. They end up just sitting around, and within a short time, the doctor discovers an incurable disease or they simply die from boredom and inactivity.
Your retirement years should be the best years of your life. Keep that in mind when you consider how you will spend them. Volunteer opportunities abound for the retired. You can help out by using your previous work experience and knowledge or by sharing your love with needy children and home bound adults or those in nursing homes. Choose a neighbor that can no longer get out and take care of themselves, and do what you can to make their life pleasant and enjoyable.
There are three things you can do to make your retirement years fulfilling: exercise every day, eat a healthy diet and keep yourself feeling young by using anti aging products. If you do these things, you will find that your retirement life will be more enjoyable, and you will feel younger.
If you have eaten in a healthy way throughout the years, you won’t have to change much in regards to your diet during retirement. Don’t eat as much. Six small meals a day, instead of three large ones, will keep your blood sugar balanced and keep you feeling better.
Every morning prepare a vegetable and fruit tray that you can snack from during the day. Include items such as sliced fruit, a variety of berries, stuffed celery sticks, sliced cucumbers and carrot sticks. If you snack on things like this, you won’t put on extra pounds, and they will help keep you healthy. Drink a lot of goji and acai berry juices during the day. They will supply your body with all of the nutrition that it needs.
Daily exercise is very important. Good retirement exercises are swimming, yoga and walking. Make sure you have an exercise video on hand for days you have to stay inside.
Use anti-aging creams that include anti-oxidants such as goji or acai berries, vitamin E or aloe vera. These ingredients contain a high amount of anti-oxidants that will eliminate the effect of free radicals on your skin. The added advantage is that they will make your skin supple and soft.
You have finally reached retirement, and you have an unlimited number of opportunities before you. Choose something that will allow you to help others who have a need. Remember that your goal is to stay active, be productive and enjoy yourself. You’ve earned it!
